With so many different religions ( Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Baptist, Methodist, Mormon, Anglican, Jehovah's Witnesses, church of Christ, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, COGIC, The Cowboy Church, Assembly of God, Episcopalian, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic orders ), Just to name a few, because there seems to be a new one popping up everyday, with all (or most of them) claiming to be worshiping the same God. We have to ask ourselves, Which one is the right one? Is any of them the right one? Or does it really matter, after all we are worshipping the same God, so you can worship Him your way and I will worship Him my way? Right??? We will talk more about this point of view later.
That is what this site is all about. (It is not about fancy graphics, animations, a lot of bells & whistles. Just the plan simple truth.) So IF you are interested in 'Searching for the Truth', then read on.
If you are not interested, well then, I thank you for your time.
It is with great joy and responsibility that I am undertaking this opportunity to share with all who will listen, the simplicity, wonder, and the importance of the Holy Gospel. I will try to make each of these studies as brief as possible so you can spend more time thinking and less time reading. So I hope that everyone will follow a few simple rules as they follow along with me as we study God's word.
But I also want to make it clear that I am NOT committing myself to a definite schedule for adding, editing, etc. entries. But I will TRY to maintain this site as time and health allow. Because it still is 'a work in progress', to which I will continue to be adding lessons. I do appreciate your patience with me. But I will go ahead and list some of the topics I plan to discuss as future studies. These I will show in the 'LINKS' area, but I will mark them with '*' to let you know that they are still under construction.
If you would like, you can click on 'comments' and it will take you to the blog where you can enter a comment (by clicking on the 'post comment' link at the bottom of an existing comment under the blog topic you are commenting on). Also this is where you can give me your e-mail address and request to be added to the mailing list and I will send you a notice when I do an up-date. Don't worry, I will not publish, sell, give away, etc. your email address. If you wish to also comment on something, PLEASE send a separate Blog Comment, that way your comment can be published while maintaining the confidentially of your e-mail. Also, if you do not want your comment posted publicly, just state in the comment that you wish to keep this communication 'private' between you and me, and I will not post it publicly. How all of this works is: When someone post a comment, it sends me an email that a comment has been made, then I can review the comment and take appropriate action = allow or deny it being posted publicly, etc. Now it will ask you to verify that you are a human by typing in a few characters. THIS IS CASE SENSIITIVE!! But I have found that most of the time it will all be CAPITOL LETTERS.
NOTE:IF YOUR COMMENTS CONTAIN UNAPPROPRIATE WORDS OR REMARKS, THEY WILL BE EDITED (but a note WILL show that it is an edited comment) OR NOT POSTED AT ALL
NOTE:YOU DO 'NOT' HAVE TO BE LOGGED ON TO MAKE A COMMENT
As an added point, some browsers may request that you click something to accept 'ActiveX controls', this is not necessary in order to use this site, but it would be better if you did. What this allows you to do is: when you click the scripture reference in the lesson study, it will bring up a small window with the scripture reference in it, and after you read the passage, you can 'x-out' (by clicking the x in the upper right hand corner of the window)(Windows 8 with Explorer 10, Right click on the page and then 'x-out' on the small window that pops up). If this does not work, then you may have to make sure that your 'pop up blocker' is turned off (go to tools, then to internet options= look through the different options and make sure the 'pop up blocker' option is NOT checked.) If you temporarily change this option to use this site, make sure you go back and 'check'/'activate' it when you are through. Or, you can hold down the Ctrl key on your key board while you click the reference link (This will temporarily disable the pop-up blocker) and it should bring up a new full size window. And if the scripture links should stop working, try to minimize the main window and make sure that there is not already a previous scripture window hiding underneath--All of this is just for your convenience.-- I would like for you to use your own Bible (but please do not use any of these 'modern' translations, for reasons we will discuss later).
There are a few assumptions that I am going to make, one is that you believe in GOD, but even if you don't, I think that you will find these studies rewarding because, just one of many reasons is that, our very society is based on many of the commandments God has given man.
Also I must assume that you believe that GOD is the author of the BIBLE and it provides knowledge for salvation. (
2 Timothy 3:15-16
Therefore it is necessary for us to 'SEARCH' FOR THE TRUTH (
2 Timothy 2:15
) to find out what this knowledge is.
Also see: (
) just to name a few.
This is the TRUTH for which we need to be searching.
At this point, I would like for you to go over the rules that you should follow as we go through this study process. So if you would, click on the 'RULES' link to the right and we will begin.
What do you think about this lesson ???
Go to the COMMENTS link and enter YOUR COMMENTS so we can SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH together.
